Julie Fosh was appointed the 840th High Sheriff of Essex in April.
She has been unable to undertake any visits to voluntary groups as yet, but is contacting groups each week by telephone to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on their work and to give support and encouragement.

Bellringers across Essex will open the doors to historic local bell towers as part of the Heritage Open Days 2026. Visitors will have the opportunity to inside a ringing room, meet the bellringers and discover how change ringing works. Check out the participating towers by contacting news@eacr.org.uk
