Dying Matters Awareness Week (4–10 May)

Posted on: May 6, 2026

This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week (4–10 May) – a national campaign led by Hospice UK encouraging more open conversations about death, dying and grief. The aim is to break down stigma, help people feel less alone, and make it easier to find support when it’s needed.

If you’re looking for support in Essex — or if your organisation offers services that could help others — The Essex Map is here for you.

💙 Whether you provide bereavement support, counselling, end of life care, community groups, practical advice or wellbeing services, you can add your organisation to the map and help people find the support they need.

🔎 And if you or someone you know needs guidance, care or support, you can explore local services here:

Because talking matters. Support matters. Community matters.
