Community Engagement Officer – CAB Maldon District

Hours: 10 hours per week
Salary: £27,000 pro rata (FT=37 hours per week)
Contract: fixed until September 2026
Location: based at Citizens Advice in Maldon, Essex, travelling within the Maldon
District, and may include some working from home.
Come and join the great team of staff and volunteers in Maldon at a fairly small, but highly performing, local Citizens Advice.
Role purpose
The purpose of the role is to build on existing, and create new, relationships between Maldon & District Citizens Advice and other agencies and organisations within the district. Maldon & District Citizens Advice helps over 3000 residents and their
families each year to find a way forward – good partnership working with other agencies is crucial to achieving the best outcomes for them.
As Community Engagement Officer you will Identify suitable agencies for partnership working such as schools, youth
groups, charities, housing associations.
Promote the work of Maldon & District Citizens Advice and raise awareness of help that can be given.
Attend meetings of local partnership groups.
Create and maintain working relationships such as with school family support workers.
Encourage referrals and be a point of contact.
Publicity through traditional and social media.
Take a leading role in the research and campaigning work of Maldon & District Citizens Advice.
