Here for you is a service which prioritises staff needs, signposts to the right help at the right time, provides a priority referral if needed and helps rebuild resilience levels. Here for you is run by experts in the mental health field and confidentiality is paramount.
This service is available to staff and volunteers who work in healthcare, social care, the voluntary sector or not-for-profit sector in Essex or Hertfordshire.

Active Essex is proud to announce that we have been successful in our application for Opening Schools Facilities funding from Sport England.
The funding, which has been provided by the Department for Education, will help secondary schools across Greater Essex deliver extra-curricular activities and open their facilities outside of the school day during evenings, weekends and school holidays. However, large scale capital/building works aren’t eligible items for this funding. This investment comes at an important time given the impact coronavirus has had on the activity levels of children and young people and will enable secondary schools in particular to support the health and wellbeing of young people and their local communities.

Dying Matters in Essex (DMIE) CIC has launched to support residents of Essex who are impacted by death, dying and loss.
Our communities limited understanding and knowledge around death, dying and loss have been brought acutely to the attention of DMIE and they want to help.
We will all die one day, but today we are dealing with the devastating impact of Covid19. There are many dying alone or unable to be with loved ones in their final moment, unable to attend funerals to grieve and console one another in what is often a shared experience.
Dying Matters in Essex Director, Devika Chowdhury, says “We realise that it’s not most people’s cup of tea to discuss death and dying but if we are being honest, these events have often been uplifting. There is a weight lifted, there is laughter and it is such a privilege to share these moments with people. Of course, there is also sadness, anger and emptiness, we know that it is tough and that is why we don’t want people to feel alone in their experience”
This year we will be running a programme of events across the week from May 10th – 16th, this will be advertised on our website, facebook, twitter etc.
