New data for Essex & beyond!

Posted on: November 10, 2025

Explore the latest public-health indicators across regions with the Health of the Region Data Explorer — a powerful free tool for voluntary sector organisations in partnership with local authorities, health services and community groups.

This interactive, publicly-available tool covers a wide range of indicators: life expectancy, disease burden, risk-factors, healthy ageing and more — broken down by region and local authority.

Why it matters for voluntary sector organisations:

  • Helps us understand local needs and health-inequalities in Essex (and compare with other areas)

  • Supports data-driven planning and service development

  • Strengthens funding bids, reports or impact statements by referencing authoritative, recent data

  • Enables stronger collaboration with local authorities, NHS and other partners by aligning with the evidence base

How you might use it

  • Explore the latest figures for our local authority / neighbourhood

  • Identify health-risk priorities in the community you work with

  • Use the data to highlight targeted need or gaps in services

  • Incorporate the figures or charts into presentations, reports or bids

We encourage you to review the tool for your area.
